COLLEGE NECESSITIES TO STAY ORGANIZED

If you’re like me and you love to stay organized but also have a slight Target addiction, this post is for you.

Before arriving on Miami’s campus for the fall semester, I decided to do some research on how to keep my dorm as organized as possible. While I wanted my room to look cute overall, staying organized was at the top of my priority list. I did my research and watched multiple dorm tour Youtube videos, viewed so many Pinterest dorm posts, and shopped for hours online trying to figure out the best organizational staple pieces for my dorm.

It is no wonder that I practically did all my dorm shopping at Target, and some of the most useful organizational pieces I have in my room I purchased from there.

Here are five of my favorite organizational pieces from Target that every college student (whether you live in a dorm or not) just has to have.

1. Makeup Organizer

The idea of having all my makeup tools shoved into a makeup bag makes me cringe now that I have a makeup organizer (pictured above). This is honestly a life-changer, not to mention the gold detailing is so cute. I may never use a makeup bag again after this purchase.

2. Mini Office Tool Kit

This kit includes everything a college student needs for their desk compact into one convenient case. Not to mention $13 is a steal for all these cute gold-accented supplies.

3. Utility Cart

I absolutely love my utility cart. It's perfect for storing snacks, cleaning supplies, dishes, and so much more. This would be perfect for a dorm room or practically any room in your house.

4. Vanity Tray

Surprisingly enough, I've gotten a lot of use out of my vanity trays. The ones I have are from the dollar section at Target, and I bought them a while back but these two are very similar. I use my vanity trays on my bedside table for chapstick, AirPods, and my glasses, and the one on my desk I use for perfume. These have a dual purpose of being both decorative and functional.

5. Small Storage Trays

I would've never thought to make this purchase, but I watched a dorm tour by one of my favorite YouTubers and she used them for storage in her vanity drawers. This is another purchase that was a life changer for me organizational wise. I use the smaller bins for things like Q-tips and cotton balls, the skinny rectangular ones for my toothbrush and toothpaste, and the larger ones for my hair products. These are so cheap and useful that I honestly want to get some for home!
