"Bridgerton" is a Must-Watch... No Matter the Season

“Bridgerton” is undoubtedly one of Netflix’s crown jewels when it comes to popularity. In fact, the third season had 45.1 million views in its opening weekend. Fans are constantly looking forward to the next project, with the fifth season already beginning filming at some point this month. There are hopes of another spinoff after the success of “Queen Charlotte” as well, and I would personally like Violet Bridgerton’s past to be featured next. Loyal viewers frequently argue over which seasons are the very best, and I would like to share my own input. Although every season is enjoyable in different ways, I think there are clear winners.

#5: Season 3 with Colin and Penelope

This is widely thought of as the most disappointing season for “Bridgerton” fans. I was personally looking forward to a season centered around two of the main characters since the very beginning, but felt it fell short of my expectations.

#4: Season 1 with Daphne and Simon

Although I loved Season 1 of “Bridgerton,” I would still rank this season as the fourth best. Daphne was one of my favorite characters at first, and I loved parts of her season with the Duke. However, the plot point that made it lower for me was the Marina, Colin and Lady Featherington storyline.

#3: Season 4 with Benedict and Sophie

I ranked the most recent “Bridgerton” season higher than others, mostly because it is the newest one. However, I loved the Cinderella storyline etched into this season, and the anticipation between the first and second half really built my excitement. I also loved Sophie as one of the main characters. This put more emphasis on some of the “Bridgerton” staff characters that have been in the show for years but had never gotten their own spotlight.

#2: Queen Charlotte

I was hesitant at first to watch this “Bridgerton” spinoff because I have not always loved the Queen in normal seasons. However, from the first few minutes of the first episode, I was hooked. The way that it flashes back and forth to the past and present day was extremely interesting and unique from previous seasons. Watching Lady Danbury and the Queen become friends and grow into how we think of them in the “present”, and seeing the plots with young Violet Bridgerton and even Brimsley added so much to this season as well. Most importantly, learning about the King and Queen’s relationship, intertwined with all of the secrets and mystery made this such a complex and bingeable watch. If you have not already watched this spinoff season, it is an absolute necessity for fans of the show.

#1: Season 2 with Anthony and Kate

I do not think it’s unusual to rank Season 2 as the best storyline and leading relationship. The chemistry between Anthony and Kate, despite them trying to convince themselves that they hate each other, makes this by far the most memorable and loved season of “Bridgerton.” The added complexity of Edwina and Anthony, though frustrating at times, makes for an even more satisfying ending. Additionally, the Whistledown drama woven throughout each episode is an enjoyable subplot, with the audience finally getting to watch Penelope write her gossip without the rest of society knowing.

The classical spin on modern music, intricate outfits and close-knit family drama have made “Bridgerton” an absolute hit no matter the season. With Season 5 already beginning filming, fans are excitedly making predictions about the leading characters. Will it be Eloise or maybe Francesca? And most of all, intrigued fans want to know who the new Whistledown is after the surprising ending to Season 4. It will be hard to wait so long for new episodes, but well worth it when the time finally comes.
