Meet Alex Cosani: The Industry's Next Big Thing

This 22-year-old blonde is taking the fashion industry—and world—by storm, one TikTok post at a time. Alex Consani, born in 2003, is a California native and has become one of the first transgender models to truly take hold of the fashion industry. 

In 2019, Consani signed with IMG Models, one of the most prominent agencies in the world, representing A-list clients such as Ashley Graham and Gigi Hadid. Having worked on ad campaigns since the age of 12, Consani made her catwalk debut for Tom Ford in 2021. 

Though she is undeniably a force to be reckoned with on the catwalk, Consani's emergence to the public eye blossomed through her online presence. Her TikTok account @captincroook has amassed over 6.4 million followers and more than 185 million likes, with her most viewed video reaching nearly 60 million views. She has become known for her outlandish and unpredictable humor and content. Through her social media account, Consani gives her audience a firsthand look at how a fashion model balances the glamorous and highly coveted lifestyle with the humor and lightheartedness of a twenty-two-year-old. 

Since making her catwalk debut, she has walked for numerous iconic brands including Mugler, Alexander McQueen, Versace and Chanel. She has also been the face for various campaigns, including Marc Jacobs, Jacquemus, and Jean Paul Gautier. During the Autumn 2025 Season, she walked for 17 different shows in a single month. 

Consani continues to break barriers within the industry. Most notably, Consani was recognized as “Model of the Year” at the Fashion Awards in London—becoming the first transgender model to ever receive this honor. Making history in 2024, Alex Consani was among some of the first transgender models to dawn the runway in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Apart from her professional success, Consani continues to advocate for the transgender community, calling for increased inclusivity in the fashion industry. 

Her influence stretches far beyond the runway, as she has been a part of various viral pop culture moments. She appeared in the star-studded music video for Charli XCX’s “360,” as well as appearing in the singer's Grammy performance. She has also been featured in female rapper JT’s music video. 

Consani continues to bridge the gap between high fashion and social media. As her platform continues to grow, and her talent remains undeniable, it is clear that this is just the beginning of a fabulous career for Alex Consani.
