When someone wrongs you, the best way to move on is to forgive and forget. Talking to loved ones will soothe the pain with nice words and reassuring statements, and eventually, the situation will blow over.
Leo Skepi would say screw that.
Skepi is a podcaster, motivational speaker and social media personality, for which he is known for his blunt, honest and mainly controversial advice.
Skepi shares his guidance mainly on his podcast "Aware and Aggravated," which launched in November 2021. The podcast contains counseling on relationships, personal growth and Skepi's thoughts on modern life.
He coaches his followers to be confident, secure and strong in who they are, and to not feel the need to bend over backwards to please others who have hurt them. His advice is relatable, unscripted and empowering, which has helped Skepi's podcast quickly rise to the top of the charts.
Some of his most popular episodes are "Lack of Discipline Makes You Ugly," "Reversing the Fear of Being Seen," "The Trick to Leveling Yourself Up" and "Performative People and The Violence of Being Ignored."
In his podcast episodes, Skepi shares the challenging parts of his life, such as his struggles with suicidal thoughts, an abusive relationship and more. The vulnerability he employs in his content captivates the viewer because of its relatability and rawness.
Additionally, Skepi uses harsh language, brutal honesty and an aggressive tone as a motivator and reality check while he breaks down his controversial guidance.
However, Skepi has received backlash and criticism for his lack of credentials. He was formerly a nurse before deciding to pursue his current career; however, Skepi does not have any sort of psychology degree.
Viewers have also raised concerns that the harshness of his advice lacks empathy, meaning his counseling is a toxic approach to handling conflict.
In all, Leo Skepi is the online friend who is not afraid to give the advice that other content creators are scared to cover. It may not be soothing or nice, but his tough love and relatability have driven his podcast to success.
