Within the great city of New York, there is a large community of influencers who are all intertwined with each other in their own aspects. Out of the many, Brigette Pheloung, better known as Acquired Style, is on the rise. With almost 930,000 followers on Instagram and another 1.6 million on TikTok, she is making her way up in the world of lifestyle and fashion influencers. 

Brigette Pheloung was born and raised in Essex Fells, New Jersey, and later attended Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, where she majored in food marketing. She graduated in 2019 and went to work as an e-commerce coordinator at Bergdorf Goodman from 2019 until 2021. Ultimately, she decided to pursue social media full-time. She started to post on TikTok in 2019 with her identical twin sister Danielle Pheloung, where they gained a good amount of traction and followers pretty early on. The twins proceeded to split, creating their own personal accounts, and Brigette started to go by the name “Acquired Style,” as many people know her today. 

Pheloung has deemed her social media as a place where she shares her personal insights on everything fashion and style related, helping her followers curate the perfect style for themselves. She inspires her followers to create their own “acquired” style, and with her years of experience in the fashion industry, she has a bank of knowledge to share.

Recently, Pheloung became engaged to her boyfriend of eight years, Mitch McHale, which she announced in June 2025. Her followers are definitely looking forward to this change in content and watching how she plans and crafts her wedding!
